RULES & FAQ

How the challenge works

Everything that decides your number, in one place. If something here contradicts the app, the app is right and this page is stale — tell us.

How is a week counted?

Weeks run Monday to Sunday in your own local time. Week 1 started on 22 June 2026: 10 main weeks, then 2 extra to catch up.

Why 600 km if the challenge is 12 weeks?

10 main weeks × 60 km = 600. The 2 extra weeks are not a new target — they exist so anyone who fell behind can still finish.

I walked 95 km this week. Does all of it count?

Toward the 600 km goal, no — a week contributes at most 60 km. On the leaderboard, yes: Total is your raw, uncapped distance. Both numbers are on your card.

Which activities count?

Walking and running. Cycling, swimming, rowing, skiing, skating, elliptical and wheelchair sessions are detected and subtracted.

Where does the distance come from?

iPhone reads Apple Health, Android reads Health Connect. FitStarz never talks to your fitness app directly.

My tracker shows a different number.

If your app writes only steps, we estimate distance from your step count and your height — within about 1% of a measured walk, but never metre-exact. Per day, the larger of logged distance and step estimate wins.

What are the rings and the stars?

Three rings a week: 60 km, 70,000 steps, 10,500 active kcal. Close 2 of the 3 and the week earns a star. Two-of-three because some phones never report calories.

It says 0 km, or a week went missing.

Usually your step-counting app stopped writing into Health Connect. The Android setup guide has the fix.

Who sees my data?

Your name, avatar, weekly kilometres, steps and posts. Nothing else leaves your phone — no location, no heart rate, no health history.
